Translation Day 1

We are starting off another action packed week!  
Last week we got through an overview of Gene expression and specifically through Transcription.  This week we will focus on Translation and Mutations. I anticipate our exam on this chapter being next Tuesday or Wednesday!

We then went into some notes:


At this point we took a look at our "Transcription and Translation Worksheet" and started to go through the first example.  The FIRST thing I had you do was "reverse" transcription (taking the mRNA and determining the original coding DNA sequence)

THEN - You used the Codon chart found on your Gene Expression Study Guide to fill in the corresponding amino acids.
