Mitosis wrap up

Today I gave you guys some recommendations on scheduling and then we went through the following daily questions.

At this point I spoke a little more about what is happening during cytokinesis following mitosis and explained what a diploid cell is.  We used the magnetic models to help explain this.

We talked through these couple diagrams in your directed reading packet.

And used the models a bit:

Our Diploid Cell with 4 chromosomes (2 from mom - Red and 2 from dad - Blue)

Our chromosomes in metaphase - the spindle fibers would be attached to each chromatid shorten during anaphase which would pull the two chromatids to the poles of the cell.
